Our karaoke web page states that we take video footage of karaoke performances. The purpose is to provide an edited video containing most performances as a gift or a keepsake to the organiser of the event.
We filmed children singing karaoke ONLY when they are singing with a parent (as a duo) and never solo.
The duration of filming is always under 1 minute, the resulting video file is called a clip which at this point is stored on the camera SD card. All clips from the event are edited to provide one fun and memorable video.
The distance of filming of each karaoke performance is always about 2 - 3 meters infront of the subjet and always visiable. Thus making it simple to inform us if you do not want us to film, or to stop filming.
We understand written consent from a child and their parents or carers before filming a child and parent karaoke performance is the best policy, however we do not know prior who the guests will be. Therefore, it is not possible for us to obtain prior consent.
We will store photographs and videos of children securely, in accordance with data protection law. The camera is always kept in a body pouch, and SD cards are removed and secured in a small safe once home.
The video clips (raw footage) and any video edits are NEVER shared on any social media platform, website, forum, or given to other persons. This we guarantee.
The camera and SD Card are always kept in a secure small safe, until editing is performed.
Once the footage has been transfere to computer for editing, the raw footage (clips) are securely deleted by re-formatting the SD card in camera.
After editing is completed and the final video (mp4) has bee produced, the raw footage (clips) are securely deleted using a 128bit file shredder app.
After the final video (mp4) has been sent to our customer via "We Transfere", the final video (mp4) is deleted using the 128bit file shredder app.
The only copy in existance will be that which we have sent to the organiser as a fun and memorable keepsake. From thi spoint the party organiser (customer) is fully responsible for the final video.
Sharing videos of karaoke activities can help us celebrate the successes and achievements of our children and young people, and provide a record of their activities.
We will never store images of children on unencrypted portable equipment such as laptops, USB sticks, and mobile devices.
We will also develop a procedure for reporting the abuse or misuse of images of children as part of our child protection procedures should the need arise. We will ensure everyone involved in our organisation knows the procedures to follow to keep children safe.
If children, parents and/or carers do not wish video to be taken, we will respect their wishes, and try our utmost this is done in a way that does not single out the child or make them feel isolated.
