At the time she said said, "I bought this beautiful country house hotel as a bit of a challenge, and to take a rest from IT."
Mrs Robinson sold the hotel to David Leathem in 2023.
We love to play at the Broadoaks Country House Hotel. It is one of our favourite venues.
The function suite is actually The Orangery and the old Oaks Room has been combined into one long rectangular space, which seats up to 100. The dance floor is situated in The Orangery, and the DJ sets up infront of the rear doors.
The ceiling height in The Orangery is approximately three metres, creating an open and spacious feel throughout the main area. In the section formerly known as the Oaks Room, the ceiling height lowers to around 2.4 metres, providing a more intimate seating atmosphere.
Loading is easy at the Broadoaks, flat and about 2.5 meters walk from the van.
There are no sound level meters in The Orangery, therefore we can keep the energy high and the dance floor jumping without the fear of the power cutting out.

Please note that smoke machines are prohibited due to the venue’s highly sensitive fire alarm system. We use high-output LED lighting to ensure the atmosphere remains great while staying fully compliant with their safety policy.
The Broadoaks team typically allows suppliers to set up one hour before hand. This alows plenty of time to sound-checked before your guests arrive for the evening celebration.
