Broadoaks Country House Hotel History
This hotel is located to the north of Troutbeck village, about 1km up a narrow road.
Tracey Robinson bought the Broadoaks Country House Hotel in October 2007.
At the time, she said, "I bought this beautiful country house hotel as a bit of a challenge, and to take a rest from IT."
Mrs Robinson later sold the hotel to David Leathem in 2023.

Where Is The Disco Setup At The Broadoaks Hotel?
We love to play at the Broadoaks Country House Hotel—it is one of our favourite venues.
The function suite is actually The Orangery, where the old Oaks Room has been combined into one long rectangular space seating up to 100 guests. The dance floor is situated in The Orangery, and the DJ sets up in front of the rear doors. The ceiling height in The Orangery is approximately 3 metres, creating an open and spacious feel throughout the main area. In the section formerly known as the Oaks Room, the ceiling height lowers to around 2.4 metres, providing a more intimate seating atmosphere.
Loading at Broadoaks is easy, flat, and about a 2.5-metre walk from the van.
There are no sound level meters in The Orangery, meaning we can keep the energy high and the dance floor jumping without fear of the power cutting out.

Do You Have Public Liability Insurance?
Yes, we hold £10 million Public Liability Insurance (PLI), and all equipment is annually PAT electrical safety tested. These documents are available on the documents page within your secure Planning Portal—simply download and send them to the Broadoaks manager.
Please note that smoke machines are prohibited due to the venue’s highly sensitive fire alarm system. We use high-output LED lighting to ensure the atmosphere remains fantastic while staying fully compliant with their safety policy.
The Broadoaks team typically allows suppliers to set up one hour beforehand, which leaves plenty of time to sound-check before your guests arrive for the evening celebration.
